Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 9 beta update for selected Galaxy users. For now, the beta program is available only in South Korea, the United States, and India. The company is expected to bring the update to more countries and more Galaxy devices in the coming months.
The new One UI 9 update comes with design changes, useful features, and better security options. Samsung is also improving some of its main apps to make the overall experience smoother for users.
One UI 9 Brings New Features
With One UI 9, Samsung has added several new features across its apps and system interface.
The Samsung Notes app is getting a fresh update with new decorative tape effects and extra pen styles. This will help users make their notes look more creative and personal.

The Contacts app has also received a useful upgrade. Users can now access Creative Studio directly from the app. This means they can create custom profile cards without opening another app.
Samsung has also redesigned the Quick Panel. Users will now get separate controls for brightness, media playback, and sound settings. The company has also added more options to change the layout and size of the panel, giving users more control over how it looks.
For users who connect a mouse to their Galaxy device, One UI 9 now brings adjustable mouse-key speed settings. This should make cursor movement smoother and more comfortable.
Better Security Features
Security is another major focus of One UI 9. Samsung says the new update can detect harmful apps, block risky installations, and warn users about possible security threats before they create problems.
This can be helpful for users who download apps from different sources or often install new apps on their phones.
